Additional Information for Hawaii Life Production Contests

  • Trip contest points are ONLY accumulated while the agent, corporation, or spouse is a member of All Access.
  • Production must be issued-paid in the 2017 CALENDAR year: 1/1/2017-12/31/2017.
  • Controlled business (apps written on agents) is not eligible for trip contest points.
  • Contest points for life production contests are based on NPA ("Net Paid Annualized") premium, which is issued-paid annualized premium less the unearned portion of first-year annualized premium on policies that do not remain active. This means that if a policy becomes inactive (through lapse, cancellation, surrender, refund, premium reduction, not-taken, free-look cancel, rescission, etc.), points will be reduced to include only the earned portion of first-year premium.
  • Some carriers do not provide us with split policy information; the agent listed on the issued-paid data NAA receives from the carrier will be the agent who receives points for that policy. See a list of carriers we receive commission-split data in the NAAU glossary under "Commission Split."
  • Married couples may email a points-combination request to help@naaleads.com (must be received no later than NOVEMBER 1, 2017).
  • Points are non-transferrable.
  • Eligibility: NAA records will determine qualification results and eligibility. Agents must be in good standing with NAA and the sponsoring carriers at the time of the trip. Attendance is available only to those who qualify AND are invited by NAA to attend. A guest must be accompanied by the qualifier for the guest to attend the trip. Individuals who, for any reason, are unable to attend are not entitled to any other compensation, nor may the qualifier substitute in his/her stead any other person.
  • Expenses: Federal/state income tax incurred as a result of attending the trip is the responsibility of the qualifier. A 1099 in the amount of the "fair market value" of the trip will be issued. It is suggested that agents consult their tax advisor in regard to tax treatment.
  • We often provide leaderboards to help you monitor your progress toward your goals; but keep in mind, leaderboards are for general reference, are not guaranteed to be accurate, and may be corrected at any time. If you notice anything that may be out of place, please help us by sending an email to help@naaleads.com.

Net Paid Annuity Premium is new issued-paid annuity premium less any premium (or portion of premium) that is not actually eligible to earn commissions or fails to remain eligible for commissions. Annuity contest credit may be removed at ANY time (through 2/1/2018) so that credit awarded may more closely reflect actual Net Paid Annuity Premium.
  • Winning the 2018 trip on more than one leaderboard doesn't earn you multiple trips or upgrades to Maui: your award will be based on the leaderboard on which you qualify BEST. However, if you win just "Hawaii for Two" on the annuity contest AND your best final standing among just the manager and life personal production trip contests is also just "Hawaii for Two," you will be awarded the "Maui for Two" extension as well!
  • All annuity products are eligible for contest credit on the Hawaii Annuity Sales leaderboard, other than SPIA transfers to whole life (e.g. BaltLife Generation Legacy, which gets credit in the life contests).

  • Carriers may or may not provide us with split policy information; the agent listed on the issued data NAA receives from the carrier will be the agent who receives the credit for the annuity.
  • Annuity credit is non-transferrable.
  • We often provide contest-to-date leaderboards in an effort to help you monitor your progress toward your goals; but keep in mind, leaderboards are for general reference, are not guaranteed to be accurate, and may be corrected at any time with or without notice. Further, annuity contest leaderboards from at least some carriers will likely be published using only issued-paid information and may sometime later have credit reduced or removed to reflect Net Paid Annuity Premium. If you notice anything that may be out of place, please help us by sending an email to help@naaleads.com.

Hawaii Manager Contest Details

The Hawaii Manager Contest has different points requirements from the life sales personal production contest, plus an additional way to earn points. Hawaii Manager Contest Points Amount Requirements:

In months you achieve RAM++, the agents in your RAM++ Baseshop that month are yourself and all the agents in your hierarchy OTHER THAN [those that hit RAM++ that month and the agents in their hierarchies].

Each month you achieve RAM++ in 2017, you'll earn Baseshop points in the Hawaii Manager Contest based on a percentage of the eligible premium of agents in your RAM++ Baseshop that production month:

  • In months you achieve Recognized AM Builder Level, you earn 10% on your RAM++ Baseshop NPA premium.
  • In months you achieve Recognized DM Builder Level, you earn 12% on your RAM++ Baseshop NPA premium.

Your personal production from the whole year earns personal production credit in the manager contest even in months you don't achieve RAM++.

RAM++ Baseshops for business issued paid December 29-31, 2017, will be based on December production month RAM++ Baseshops and levels.

If you win both the manager and life sales personal production contests, your award will be based on whichever method gets you the best trip, not on both methods added together. The same is true if you win in both the manager and annuity contests, except that if you win the lowest level of both the manager and annuity contests, you will be awarded the "Maui for Two" extension as well!
